Dave’s carrier is impressive. The guiding theme of his last ten years of producing and DJing is the restless perfectionism resulting in perfect compositions, mixes & remixes.
Dave The Hustler released his first production in 1998 as he founded the famous label «Paparazzi records» with the excellent & mysterious Jenkins alias Evil C. Among others, he produced on “Paparazzi” the hits «Club Honey» and «Soleil».
Dave’s sound takes shape, vintage keys and big samples backed with tough beats for the dance floors. The label, which benefits from support by Sven Väth & Laurent Garnier, had instant global success. The success continued with the well know EP-like : «Hackin’ the Disco-Tech» or «Terrasse».
In 2001 Dave The Hustler meets Felix da Housecat and they devleop a close friendship, working closely together on «Kittenz & Thee Glitz», some of whose tracks remain ferences for electronic music. Dave co-writes “Silver Screen” (Shower Scene), “Happy Hour”, “What does it Feel like” and the famous remix of «Motor Inn» by Iggy Pop which propels them to a nomination for a Grammy Award in the «Best Remix».category.
Meanwhile, their remixes, released on labels like «Jive», «Citizen Records», «Mental Groove», «Emperor Norton» or «Sony Music» set fire to the dancefloors of New York, Berlin, Paris, Los Angeles, Miami, Zürich and everywhere else that got to hear Dave’s incredible DJ sets.
Dave also worked with the famous Cassy Britton and recorded «Her Dream» on «Mental Groove», hitting once again the top of the charts, followed by remixes by David Carretta and Patrick Pulsinger.
He continued his studio work with Felix da Housescat in 2004 for his second album “Devin Dazzle & The Neon Fever” from which is taken «Watching Cars Go by» End 2004 and 2005, Dave The Hustler works with P.Diddy & Felix Da Housecat on the production and co-writing of the global underground hit «Jack U» ("Jack U vs. I'll House You"). Dave lives in Los Angels and works with local bands such as Virgin Tears, Julien K : remixes, productions (Dreamland, Loudhailer).
In 2006, love brings Dave The Hustler back to Switzerland. He works with Detroit Grand Pubahs and they create the wild «Filth n Dirt» project with the release of two singles «I81u812» and «Go Ahead» remixed by Vitalic, another smash hit which encourages Dave The Hustler & Detroit Grand Pubahs, aka «Filth n Dirt» to compose an album for mid-2008.
Dave The Hustler also works as a drummer with Kate Wax, remixed «Cash on Time» (Mental Groove) and toured with here in Europe in 2006 – 2007. 2006 – 2007 is the year of the meeting of de Lad & Dave The Hustler, once again for the best. Their first release «Era Bulgaris» on the prestigious label NUM Records from Lee Van Dowski & Quenum, is an incredible track which immediately found it’s place in the fly cases of the planet’s best Djs.
